HTR 2008HTR2008 Conference - 4th International Topical Meeting on High Temperature Reactor Technology

High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactors are one of the most promising reactor concepts of the Nuclear Renaissance, offering advantages such as improved safety and economics, shorter construction times, distributed generation and high temperature availability for hydrogen production and other process heat applications.

Current research and development projects are progressing in countries such as Japan, China, South Africa, France, USA, South Korea and the Russian Federation. Many other countries are participating in HTR research through the High Temperature Reactor Technology Network (HTR-TN), a network of 21 partner organizations of the European Union, and the Generation IV International Forum (GIF), which include 12 member countries as well as the INPRO project of the IAEA.  We invite you to network and exchange ideas with your peers at HTR2008.

ASME ST-LLC has been contracted by the forming committee and sponsors to manage the HTR 2008 Conference.  Consequently, ASME ST-LLC has partnered with ASME sectors experienced in the development and management of technical conferences.

Hydrogen082008 International Hydrogen Conference - Effects of Hydrogen on Materials

The conference will be the premier topical meeting on hydrogen effects in materials, as demonstrated by past attendance and extensive citations of the conference proceedings in technical literature.  The conference series is proving to be quite timely, since interest in developing hydrogen as a fuel is casting more attention on hydrogen-materials interactions.  Hydrogen effects on mechanical properties of materials is a primary topic.

This conference is sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and endorsed by The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society.

  • Dates: September 7-10, 2008
  • Location: Jackson Lake Lodge, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA
